Happy Thursday.
I hope you’ve been having a good week and enjoying the warmer weather (depending on where you are). It’s been getting pretty warm here in the DMV; truthfully, I’m not a fan. I was trying hard to commit to a silk press and am currently days away from getting braids. That was unnecessary for me to tell you, but I was complaining about the heat.

Anywho, one thing that has been exciting me lately is that the WNBA is back. With that, I wanted to reshare an interview I did in March with one of my besties and favorite entrepreneurs,
. Andrea is the founder of The Gifted Collective:The Gifted Collective is a digital-first creative communications and content consultancy founded to support athletes and creatives as they maximize their platforms and influence.
For the interview, we discussed The Gifted Collective, the importance of owning your narrative, the popularity of women’s sports, potential brand deals for athletes, and more.
Watch or listen to it below, but before you get there, here are a few recs for the week:

Andrea was also featured in a featured in a Popsugar article about the cost of being a WNBA fan. Secret: it’s hella expensive.
Sadly, despite my best efforts, I got sucked into #MomTok and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Hulu. I started season 1 and never finished, but completely ate up the current season. It was lots of drama and both entertaining and annoying to watch.
At this point, it’s safe to say that the Bold Type made me a Meghann Fahy stan. Very excited to binge Sirens this weekend.
