I can’t believe it’s April already.
The year is going by pretty fast, and I am working on catching up to some of my goals for the year, one of which was to start a podcast with my friend
and….I can officially check that one off the list.
We started a new podcast called “Creative Canvas,” and this is the first episode. Of course, we talked about COWBOY CARTER, standing outside in the rain to watch Lucky Daye perform, and more. For now, you can subscribe to the podcast on Spotify; we will also bring it to other platforms. Be on the lookout every Thursday, but you can now listen to the episode below.
In other news, I am trying to clean my digital spaces at the end of the month, which includes cleaning out my Readwise account and archiving and/or deleting articles. So here are a few things I thought were worth sharing this week:
My friend Kristen wrote a book, We Don’t Talk About Carol, which will be out soon via Bantam Books. To discuss her writing journey and the books she loves in general, Kristen started a new newsletter called Books Are Life, and I loved this edition, which discusses how she does some of her best writing in the shower.
How Quinta Brunson Hacked the Sitcom
“Abbot Elementary” is one of my favorite shows. I loved this article on Quinta. While it’s long, there are some gems in here.
“I’m making TV for a wide range of people. While I’m making television for Black girls, for Black people, I’m also still making it for the white grandma in Kansas.”
Julia Stiles Wanted to Be Just Like Kat Stratford, Too
I will always love Julia Stiles. That’s my whole statement.
That’s it for this week - next week will be longer, so I’ll catch you then.
Congrats on your podcast 🎉 I will make sure to subscribe!
Hey, I'm so excited about this!
