I danced so much this year, in my chair but yeah
2018 came and went so fast. I'm not sure if it's because I've had some major life events happen this year--moving across the country for the first time, turning 30 and getting more wise and beautiful in the process, or experiencing snow and tempatures so cold that my head feels overly huge on my dainty neck, whatever the case, it seems like this year has gone by so fast.
During the process of the year moving at rapid speeds, there was some great music that played the backdrop to the year. 2018 overall was a great year for music. My boo Christina Aguilera came back after six years. Cardi B had a baby, announced she was married, and announced that she was going through a divorce (Hollywood romances).
Beyonce and Jay Z released a surprise album and sis has bars, but what did we expect? Beyonce is like the Gold Star that Marcus could have recieved in Boomerang. My favorite group, Little Brother, reunited--all three members for a surprise show in North Carolina after not performing together since 2005.
We also had some sad times in music this year with the passing of one of my favorites Mac Miller, who also had one of the best albums of the year in my opinion. Nonetheless, 2018 was a pretty interesting musical year so I decided to create a playlist that mixes some of my favorite albums/songs of the year, as well as some of my most played songs of the year. I'm stopping at 100 songs because clearly, I can be long winded and go on, and on, and on like my name was Erykah. Get it? I laughed when I wrote that but such is life.
What songs have made their home on your 2018 best lists? Let me know
Shameless plug, my new article about Bullet Journaling is live now on The Every Girl. Don't fear, there will be a more detailed newsletter about productivity coming next week, but just wanted to leave this here now.
